Pryors have a long history of investing in innovative plant machinery that provides improved efficiencies: CBWs (Centrifugal Batch Washer), tunnel dryers, overhead bagging systems and robotic folding machines to name just a few. With over 1000 customers and a total of 25000 individual garments (or 40 tonnes) washed each week, ensuring each item is checked for repairs and then sorted by driver, company and finally to the actual staff member, is very time consuming. With the installation of our new Kannegiesser K-Sort Simplx Plus automated line assembly unit, Pryors have greatly eliminated the possibility of human error. This ensures our customers get the right garment, in the best possible condition, every time.
The new system will take 12 weeks to install and is due to be fully operational by July 15th. “The new K-Sort Simplex Plus has been on our radar for several years” said MD Brett Homan. “We’re very excited about the efficiencies we are expecting. We’ve been planning this for 2 years now and I’m pleased to add there will be no redundancies as a result of adding this incredible piece of equipment”.
