At Auckland Apparelmaster, we believe sustainability isn’t an add‑on — it’s integral to everything we do. From the uniforms we launder to the delivery vans we drive, every decision matters.
Across our franchise network, we are working to reduce carbon emissions, conserve water, minimise waste, and shift to cleaner energy and transport solutions. We partner with local communities, industry bodies, and technology leaders to make real progress — not just good intentions.
Below you'll find our journey: the milestones achieved, the targets still to reach, and the actions that are turning our vision of a greener tomorrow into reality.
Auckland Apparelmaster has diverted around 11,600 kg of textiles from landfill in a year, preventing an estimated 40,600 kg of CO₂ equivalent emissions.
Our electric van fleet has replaced a portion of its diesel vehicles, saving an estimated 35,000 litres of fuel per year and reducing over 90,000 kg of CO₂ emissions per year.

Apparelmaster has switched from light fuel oil to sustainably sourced wood chips, cutting carbon emissions by over 120 tonnes a year and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
Apparelmaster has invested in alternative fuel options, using biodiesel on site and in its vehicle fleet.
Reduction in CO₂ Emissions in 2025
Investing in energy and water efficient tech like Continuous Batch Washers using just 8 L of water per kg — with smart water recycling, heat recovery, and turbo spin systems that cut energy use even further.

At Auckland Apparelmaster, we take Corporate Social Responsibility seriously. We’re dedicated to improving the lives of our people, supporting local and global communities, and protecting the environment.
We have aligned our efforts with five of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and set clear short, medium, and long-term targets, which are monitored by our sustainability partners at Instep. Protecting the environment is a core part of our values, and we are committed to reducing our footprint through smarter energy and water use, investment in efficient technology, and the exploration of alternative energy sources.
We stay up to date with environmental legislation and local regulations, ensuring our operations consistently meet or exceed compliance standards and support responsible environmental management.
We actively invest in energy-efficient technologies and processes to reduce consumption across our operations. From advanced machinery to smarter resource use, we aim to minimise energy and water use while maintaining the highest quality outcomes.
We engage and educate our team on environmental best practices, ensuring they are equipped to operate efficiently, safely, and in line with our sustainability goals.
We’re proud to support the people and communities we work with every day. By partnering closely with our customers, we help them operate more efficiently and sustainably, while also contributing to the wider community through local initiatives, responsible business practices, and ongoing support of organisations that make a positive difference.
